Gurkha Majestic Dining
Nestled on Worcester Road in Droitwich, Gurkha Majestic Dining is more than just a place to eat-it’s a full-on culinary journey that beautifully fuses the rich traditions of Nepalese and Indian cuisine with a modern twist. From the moment you walk into this charming spot at 6 Worcester Rd, WR9 8AB, the atmosphere feels both welcoming and refined, a rare mix that’s surprisingly hard to come by.
If you’re into Indian curries or Nepalese street food favourites, Gurkha Majestic Dining nails both with surprising precision. It’s the kind of place where the classics are honoured, but the menu still brings fresh character to the table. One moment you’re savouring the familiar spice of a creamy Chicken Tikka Masala, and the next you’re delighted by the unexpected zing of Vegetable Momo-a Nepalese dumpling dish that’s packed with flavour and soul.
What sets this restaurant apart is its attention to detail, not just in flavour but also in presentation. The Onion Bhaji arrives golden and crisp, not too oily, with just the right hint of spice. Pair that with a refreshing cold beer or a glass of carefully selected red wine, and you’re off to a great start. The Chutney Tray that comes with poppadoms is a crowd-pleaser-each chutney sings with its own tang and texture, from cooling mint to sharp mango.
The mains at Gurkha Majestic Dining are a celebration of spice, texture, and tradition. Butter Chicken is rich without being overwhelming, and their Paneer Tikka is grilled to perfection, subtly charred and generously spiced. But if you’re looking to explore beyond the familiar, the Chicken Chhate Milan is a house special that deserves attention-it layers heat and tang in a way that lingers just enough on the palate.
And don’t skip the sides. The Garlic and Coriander Naan is soft, fluffy, and full of herbaceous goodness. The Peshwari Naan-stuffed with sweet coconut-is a sweet surprise that pairs unexpectedly well with the spicier mains. If rice is more your thing, the Gurkha Special Fried Rice is aromatic and satisfying, great as a base for saucy dishes like the Chicken Balti or Tandoori Chicken.
This place isn’t just about food, though. Gurkha Majestic Dining has clearly made accessibility and comfort a priority. With wheelchair-accessible car park, entrance, seating, and toilets, it ensures that everyone can enjoy the dining experience comfortably. Whether you're stopping in for a solo lunch or settling down with friends and family for a long dinner, the layout and service make it easy to relax and take your time.
They also tick the boxes for service flexibility. Dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and even no-contact delivery options are available. That means whether you want the full in-house experience or a cosy night in, they’ve got you covered. And if you’re into vegan or vegetarian dishes, this place goes beyond token gestures-there’s actual thought and flavour put into their plant-based offerings.
Craving a bit of indulgence? The desserts here are more than worth saving room for. From classic sweets to creative fusion options, each dessert offers a comforting finish to the meal. And while you’re at it, don’t overlook the drinks list. The bar serves a solid selection of cocktails, beer, spirits, and coffee, perfect for winding down or kicking things off.
The vibe? Relaxed, friendly, and unpretentious. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you’ll likely be greeted with the same warm service that keeps locals coming back. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful, happy to recommend dishes if you're feeling indecisive.
In a sea of Indian and Nepalese eateries across the UK, Gurkha Majestic Dining earns its place by blending authenticity with accessibility, traditional flavours with thoughtful service. It’s not just about the food-though that alone is worth the visit. It’s about the whole experience, from the spices that tingle your tongue to the warm smiles that greet you at the door.

Amazing from start to finish, the staff from when we entered the restaurant couldn't do enough ... felt like we were in Nepal and made all the experience more special. Food melted in our mouths, and flavours were amazing.. definitely converted from normal Indian curry .
My first time back in this building for many years, the last being when it was an Italian restaurant. A very cheery welcome at the door by the excellent staff. Thought the food was excellent as did all of our group. Healthy portions and even supplied doggy bags for the stuff that couldn't be eaten (we must get a dog). Good to see somewhere living up to its reputation. There's some parking at the rear of the restaurant. Yes, I would certainly go back.
Excellent home cooked food, run by a big welcoming team of staff that offer a good variety of Nepalese dishes. The tawa sweet and sour dish pictured was divine and like nothing I have had before in a restaurant. I can also highly recommend the ghurkha man which had pieces of chicken in; unique. It can get busy and a bit noisy at peak times, so book early to avoid disappointment.
From a warn welcom to great food. Top marks to staff all was friendly. Now both are the same how ever one was chicken and one was lamb. The lamb was melt in your mouth. A must try.
Great service yet again. It was very busy as was the last time we visited but the service and standard of food was fantastic! Can't wait for our next visit
